The full name of melamine board is melamine impregnated plastic film paper veneer artificial board. It is composed of melamine impregnated paper on the surface and plywood substrate in the middle.

Surface

The melamine impregnated paper on the surface is compounded on the plywood surface by high temperature and high pressure. Melamine impregnated paper is similar to HPL, with rich surface color and texture, and has certain flame retardant, wear-resistant and waterproof properties.

Substrate

There are two choices for the substrate, poplar plywood and birch plywood.

Two kinds of substrates are using melamine urea formaldehyde resin as adhesive, bonding quality is good (EN314-2.2 grade), formaldehyde emission is low (EN717-1.E1 grade).
